You can easily stop ClipMate from running when you boot up windows, by turning off the "Run at Windows startup" option.
See Config | User Preferences | General. It's the first option on the page.
Technical Note: Unlike previous versions, which used the Windows "startup" menu, ClipMate 6&7 use the RUN entry in the registry. You can find it in the REGEDIT program, by looking in this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
You may find other interesting items in there as well. Some that you may know about, others that you may not know about.
I just found this interesting thing in mine: ctfmon.exe. It's apparently part of Microsoft Office.
